Our Story
Rooted in Community, Growing Together
Welcome to the Meanook Community Hall, a place where tradition meets local spirit in the heart of Northern Alberta. Located just 22 kilometers from Athabasca, our hall has served as the social anchor for the Meanook community for generations.
In the Cree language (specifically the Plains Cree dialect),
the name Meanook means "a good camping place".

The Meanook Community Hall has recently undergone renovations to better serve our community.
Family & Social Gatherings: With a capacity of 100 people, we are the perfect size for:
- birthday parties,
- weddings,
- reunions,
- celebrations of life,
- anniversary parties,
- workshops & presentations
- card & board game tournaments
